Resilience, Safety, & Change
Comprehensive and effective DV response requires a balance of hope, accountability, and evidence based intervention. This year’s conference will explore how fostering hope can serve as a powerful tool for healing and resilience. When integrated with structured intervention and programming, hope can contribute to preventing and ending IPV. We will highlight the science of hope as a tool for supporting individuals impacted by violence and professionals, and explore two intervention and support modalities; Strength at Home and Safe & Together.
This conference will bring together service providers, law enforcement, AP&P, child welfare professionals, mental health professionals and advocates, to explore trauma-informed approaches, system collaboration, and strategies to support both victims and those who use violence, and whole family approaches to those impacted by violence. Attendees will gain insights into:
How hope functions as a protective factor in overcoming adversity, burnout, and trauma.
Trauma-informed models which promote offender accountability and prevent future harm.
How to improve system coordination for more effective domestic violence responses.
Purpose
Our DV Solutions Conference is dedicated to exploring effective strategies for interrupting intergenerational domestic violence through trauma-informed advocacy and intervention. We meticulously curate our keynotes and sessions by integrating survey results, 2024 evaluation findings, emerging trends, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
In response to participant feedback, we have restructured our conference to better meet the needs of the field. This year, we are introducing a one-day symposium in March, focused on required CEU credits such as ethics and suicide prevention, along with in-depth discussions and collaborative efforts. This will be followed by a two-day conference in September, designed to address critical topics while fostering broader engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Our conference addresses essential and interconnected topics within a social justice framework, aiming to tackle interpersonal violence comprehensively. Each year, our focus extends to serving the entire family unit, including children, survivors, individuals impacted by violence, and those who use violence. We prioritize amplifying the voices of those affected by violence and offer solution-focused strategies and interventions that promote healing, resilience, trust, safety, and transparency. Through these efforts, we aim to foster healthy relationships, homes, and communities.
