A multi-session event at the

Conference on College Composition and Communication

Saturday, March 28, 2020

Crystal Ballroom, Hilton Milwaukee City Center, 509 W Wisconsin Ave, Milwaukee, WI, 53203

Teacher to Teacher (T2T), is a Saturday forum designed to celebrate writing pedagogy and the teaching of writing. In its second year, T2T invites literacy educators to come together for conversation on practice. T2T is committed to fostering conversations that celebrate a diverse range of experiences: full-time and part-time faculty, graduate and undergraduate teaching assistants, tutors, and peer mentors, and aspiring educators; colleagues representing secondary, two-year, and four-year institutional homes; colleagues who engage writers in brick-and-mortar, online, or multiple spaces; educators who teach writing in spaces and who represent identities and relationships to teaching writing beyond the writing classroom or a formal educational setting. Acceptance to this Saturday event will be an official speaking role during the CCCC convention.

This event is "speed-teaching" where a table leader will facilitate table presenters who will present their teaching idea and problem, followed by a robust discussion with those presenters and other table attendees. After 50 minutes attendees will move to another table. Each session (morning and afternoon) have two rounds of these presentations, so everyone walks out of the room with an arm- and head-full of innovative teaching ideas as well as ideas and strategies to solve classroom challenges.
