Charitable Grant Committee
Under the Direction of Genevieve Vicari and Hayley Tenhoopen, the Investment Club established the Charitable Grant Committee in 2015, an internal group of members who will be responsible for allocating a portion of the portfolio’s assets (about 2%) to philanthropic Registered Student and Non-Profit Organizations in the University of Delaware and Newark area. The Charitable Grant Committee has worked diligently to build out a foundation for efficiently and systematically working with and donating capital to organizations whose charitable benefits will positively impact the surrounding community. Since its inception, the Charitable Grant Committee has donated over $161,000 to 19 organizations supporting a wide range of causes.
