Government Grant Writing January 18, 2024 10 am to 4 pm
Explore Grant Writing for Government Funders--This FREE training will focus on governmental grants. The session will address key aspects of writing successful applications for federal, state, or local government funds. This training is for individuals who are interested in writing larger grants. This is a six-hour workshop with lunch included. This workshop includes presentations and small group interaction. Resources will be provided on successful federal and state grants. Learning Objectives--You will learn how to:
Find funding through grants.gov, Ohio Grants Partnership, and other sites
Register for federal grants and some state grants
Learn about bidder conferences, webinars, and letter of intent processes
Understanding government rubrics
Report needs and asset information that will score highly on rubrics
Write a compelling description of your program and project and site evidence-based practices
Describe your organization's history and the strength of your partnerships
Define a logic model and program evaluation outcomes, targets, and methodology.
Develop an effective budget and narrative
Prepare for implementation
Excel and Budgeting 101 January 22, 2024 1:00 to 3:30 pm
Explore Excel and How to Budget-- This FREE training focuses on helping people learn Excel and how to develop project or agency budgets. This is an interactive session where individuals will be completing "hands on" tasks using their computers. Please click here to register or on the blue stripe above.
Learning Objectives--You will learn how to:
Understand Excel and similar spreadsheets like Google Sheets
Enter basic formulas and calculate values
Use autofill and copy formulas
Utilize Excel for charts
Develop a basic budget for a project or small agency
Understand how to research and estimate budget costs
Show a budget across multiple funders or display an in-kind contribution to the budget or cost-sharing
