Pezzoli, K. 2000. Human Settlements and Planning for Ecological Sustainability: The Case of Mexico City. Cambridge, MA.: MIT Press.
Book in Progress: Bioregional Imagination: Survival with Justice! This book reviews bioregional imagination with a focus on ethics, theory, research and action. The thematic structure of the book includes: (1) the power of a 21st century bioregional framework (countervailing narrative) in the face of neoliberal globalization; (2) the political ecology of “localization” and "glocalization" as unfolding processes that have potential to bring about progressive socio-cultural, economic and ecological changes needed to make sustainable and regenerative development possible; and (3) the role of universities in democratizing science and technology needed for what the book defines as an alternative mode of development in the making: “a bioregional transition.”
