Serving the students and faculty of the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at UC San Diego with software visualization and model making resources.

Access and Policies

 Students, please Register for access to the GIS Visualization Lab.
After registration access to the lab (your card will be activated to open the door) and an account in the GVL Scheduler below will be granted.  GIS workstations can be reserved in the GVL Scheduler and used from 7am - 10pm.
Processing new users will be done in batches at the start of the week.  


Make a Staff Consultation Appointment.
Consult for help, advice, and assistance with
3D printing, Laser Cutting, Plotting, Model Making (Physical and Virtual), General Orientations and more.


Use the GVL Scheduler to reserve resources
GIS Workstations, etc.
On first login with @uscd.edu email username use the "I Forgot My Password" to set your password by email.
