Welcome to the Parker Lab!

Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology
University of California, Santa Cruz

We love plants!  We study a range of questions in plant ecology and evolution, embracing the pursuit of curiosity-driven science as well as a sincere commitment to the conservation and restoration of natural ecosystems. We especially seek to understand the causes, consequences, and dynamics of biological invasions as an agent of global change. Much of our research is focused on the effects of species interactions (e.g., herbivory, disease, pollination, and mycorrhizae) on plants.

Our lab accepts graduate students and postdoctoral researchers through the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department at UC Santa Cruz.

For UCSC undergrads: please fill out our Parker Lab Opportunity Form if you are interested in learning more about volunteer and paid opportunities in the lab, see the Teaching page for more information about getting into a course, and review the Recommendation Letters page if you are thinking about asking for a letter of recommendation.
