Visiting Assistant Professor

Hi there!

I am currently a Visiting Assistant Professor in the mathematics department at UC Santa Cruz. I was formerly a PhD student at UC Berkeley and an undergraduate at UC Santa Barbara.

My research interests are concentrated in geometric group theory and low-dimensional topology.  Most of the questions I think about these days are somehow related to the geometry of linear groups in characteristic zero. In other words, I multiply two-by-two matrices for a living.
