The University of California at Santa Cruz has an outstanding reputation in Earth and Planetary Sciences and is located in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains overlooking Monterey Bay, a national marine sanctuary. I am actively seeking motivated individuals interested in pursuing research in atmospheric sciences and climate dynamics to join our group. Prospective graduate students and postdocs, as well as advanced undergraduates, are encouraged to contact me.

For prospective graduate students:

Please apply to the graduate program in Earth and Planetary Sciences and also consider the following fellowships: NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program, NASA FINESST, Chinese Scholarship Council-UCSC Graduate Student Scholars Program. If you are interested in applying to the program under my sponsorship, I ask that you email me to introduce yourself! A brief description of your academic background and research interests is helpful.

For prospective postdoctoral fellows:

Update: I have an opening in my group for a postdoc. Please email me for more information.

I am excited to collaborate with promising postdoctoral scientists. Please contact me if you are approaching the end of your PhD and are interested in preparing a postdoctoral fellowship application. The following fellowships are highly recommended: NOAA Climate & Global Change Postdoctoral Fellowship, NSF Atmospheric and Geospace Sciences Postdoctoral Research Fellowship, L’Oréal USA For Women in Science, James S. McDonnell Foundation.
