The Marine Analytical Lab is an open-access, multi-user core facility operated by the Institute of Marine Sciences with support from UCSC's Division of Physical and Biological Sciences. The facility is available to the UCSC and University of California marine- and coastal- research community. We also welcome researchers from other disciplines as well as external researchers with active collaborations with IMS-researchers (subject to approval).

Fire extinguisher locations: 1) near men's restroom and 2) in the corridor leading to the Plasma lab. Only attempt to put out a small fire if you are safe and capable doing so; always maintain an accessible exit; alert others in the lab. P.A.S.S.= Pull pin, Aim at base, Squeeze trigger, Sweep.

Acid Spill Kit for minor spills: near the large refrigerated centrifuge in C480 (just outside my office). For major acid spills: 911.
