I am an Associate Professor at the mathematics department at the University of California Santa Cruz. I was at Washington University in St. Louis as an Assistant Professor from 2018-2024 and then as an Associate Professor in 2024. During Spring 2023 I was a KTGU Scholar at Kyoto University. In Fall 2022 I was a Fields Research Fellow at The Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences and a Visiting Assistant Professor at McMaster University. From 2015-2018 I was a J.L. Doob Research Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I spent Fall 2016 as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the thematic program in Combinatorial Algebraic Geometry at The Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences. In Summer 2015 I was an Einstein Postdoctoral Researcher at Technische Universität Berlin. I finished my Ph.D. at Cornell University in May 2015 under the supervision of Allen Knutson.

I am interested in the interplay between Combinatorics and Algebraic Geometry. Mainly, I study the connections bewteen polytopes and algebraic geometry, and work with Schubert varieties as well as other subvarieties of the flag variety.
