# of Interns: Sponsoring 3 interns enrolling in ENVS 83, 84, 183 or 183A/183B Spring 2025. Summer Session 2025, they are sponsoring students enrolling in ENVS 84. This is an unpaid internship.
Agency Description:
Groundswell makes our coast better for nature and people. We use nature-based adaptation to build healthy coastal ecosystems in the Monterey Bay Area. Our work includes planning, design, and implementation of projects that increase coastal ecosystem resiliency and biodiversity in Central California.
Intern Responsibilities:
Internships will focus on one of the following:
Support all phases of plant propagation from seed collection to greenhouse growing and maintenance of newly planted coastal restoration sites.
Assist with data collection to support environmental compliance for coastal nature-based projects.
Interns having GIS training/experience will assist with documenting and cataloging coastal natural resources in Central California.
Other Requirements:
Comfortable working in the field
Locations: Different locations. Transport generally available from lower West Side
