Memorize your monologue! Trying to read your monologue the day of, you are more likely to mess up, and looking down at a paper means that the audience can't see what you're doing with your face.
Be loud! Showing that you can say your lines and be hear is one of the key things I look for at individual auditions.
Be confident! Of course, you can always fake it till you make it. Standing strong, without unintentional fidgeting shows that you are comfortable on a stage, even if you're really nervous.
Be a character! Many people make the mistake of just reciting a monologue. But the emotions behind the words are key. Even more so, the character saying them. Use the monologue to show how you can create character with your voice and body.
Know who you're talking to! Who you talk to affects how your character talks to them. Try to imagine that person is in the room and you're talking to them.
Look at the sheet music! The sheet music has the lyrics to the songs. That will be handy while you're learning it.
Practice with the Performance Tracks! The guide vocals can help you learn the song, but don't forget to practice with the performance tracks. Those are what will play at the audition.
It's not just singing! Treat songs like a second monologue. They're another chance for you to show your acting skills. Include character! Think about why they are singing!
Keep calm and carry on! Auditions are at the end of the day. Try not to stress yourself out throughout the day.
Bring a light snack! Water and a LIGHT snack can help give you some energy for your audition. Just keep it light so you don't make yourself sick to your stomach.
Warm up! If you have time before your audition, do some light vocal warm ups and stretch.
Don't last minute practice! It will stress you out. If you have prepared, you will be fine.
Bring something to do! Keeping your mind occupied by a book or homework will help you keep from stressing yourself out while you wait.
