I received the Doctor and Master degrees in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Porto Alegre, Brazil, and the Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), Rio Grande, Brazil.

I am currently an Assistant Professor and Researcher at the Catholic University of Pelotas (UCPel), Pelotas, Brazil. I teach at the Computer Engineering and Electronics Engineering undergraduate courses and at the Graduate Program on Electronics Engineering and Computer Science (PPGEEC). I am also the coordinator of the Computer Engineering undergraduate course.
