An Educator's Guide to NGSS provides an open-source platform of resources for science educators in their quest to implement Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and the Framework for K-12 Science Education. Start by reading resources, practicing implementing NGSS little by little, and reflecting on classroom application, while earning points toward the four Educator's Guide badges. Earn all four badges and you'll become a Science Sage, ready to tackle NGSS in your classroom.

What to Expect
Approximate length of time needed to fully engage with each Tier:
- Tier 1: 140 min
- Tier 2: 209 + 40 min
- Tier 3: 45 + 60 min
- Tier 4: 355 min
Each Tier will give participants the opportunity to watch videos, read articles, submit reflections, and engage with high quality science education learning resources.
Goals & Objectives
The goals of this open-resource platform are:
- to invite educators to understand and reflect upon their current classroom implementation of new science standards
- to become familiar with the purpose, goals, and terminology of the new science standards
- to revise thinking about standard science education
- to empower educators to successfully implement new science standards with diversified resources and supports
