Ashwin Gerard Colaco

I am a PhD student under Prof Sharad Mehrotra at University of California, Irvine. Prior to joining the PhD program at UCI, I completed my undergraduate degree at NMIT India. My current focus is on enrichment of data streams with semantically meaningful data either on ingestion or at query time in a stream-like database setting. To this end, I currently work on TippersDB a system that support query time enrichment of sensor based data and FARML a model selection library that allows for a smart selection of an enrichment function on data ingested into a system like TippersDB such that the overhead of ingestion does not exceed the resources available to the system at any given instant.
