Log Entry 4

Humanities Core was an extensive writing class that helped developed my writing skills. As I began the Humanities Core series I was surprised by the structure of the class and how varied the topics were. I did not expect to learn about so many different things in one class. Definitely, at the beginning of each quarter, it was easier to dig into the reading and materials but there were some topics that I found more interesting than others, and tend to dig deeper into those topics. I struggled a bit with keeping focus in lectures which sometimes led to not completely comprehending the topics we discussed in class. It was helpful that the professor analyzed topics and we discussed them in class. My experience conducting my research project was overwhelming, if we had started writing or brainstorming earlier on then it would have made things much easier towards the end of the quarter and in the writing process. In the future, I would like to have broken down the writing process to make the analyzing and writing process easier.
