I am currently finishing up my Ph.D. studies in Political Science at the University of California, Irvine.

Primarily interested in feminist ethnography, my research centers on women's activism in the Philippines. My dissertation looks at the work of women's organizations working to reclaim the silenced narrative of sexual violence, from WWII's victims and survivors euphemistically known as "comfort women" to contemporary reports of violence against women.

I am also a Luce Graduate Fellow for the Critical Investigation of Humanitarianism in Africa (CIHA) blog.

Outside of academia, I can be found studying yoga philosophy and practice.
