Program Overview
This is a hybrid program (in-person for students at UC Irvine and online for other students) that introduces data science concepts to engineering undergraduate students. We will cover various topics in data science and tie them to applications on bioengineering data. The program aims to prepare students to participate in practical and research projects in the areas of data science and engineering. Selected students after the 6-week program will be matched with professors to work on a research project.
Instructors
The program is organized by the following instructors:
Prof. Chen Li, UC Irvine
Prof. Reem Khojah, UC San Diego
Prof. Faisal Nawab, UC Irvine
(For any questions, please contact nawabf@uci.edu)
Lecture and Meetings Times
The Lectures will be held on Wednesdays at 9:30 AM Pacific Time (PT). The typical duration of a lecture is 1 hour.
(For attendees outside of California, please note that starting on November 1, the Pacific Time (PT) timezone shifts from Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time, moving one hour back. This may result in the meetings starting one hour later in your local time. Please adjust your scheduling accordingly.)
