California—US Government (CA-USG) Workshop on 2D Materials
September 21-22, 2023
University of California, Irvine
About
The CA-USG 2D materials workshop connects California academics with US government scientists in 2D materials for electronics, photonics, and quantum applications, promoting collaboration and career opportunities while laying the foundation for long-term cooperation.
Organizers
Prof. SungWoo Nam (UC Irvine), Dr. Albert Davydov (NIST), and Dr. Nick Glavin (AFRL) are the organizers of the CA-USG Workshop on 2D Materials.
When and where is CA-USG 2D?
The California—US Government (CA-USG) Workshop on 2D Materials will be held September 21-22, 2023 at the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Building (ISEB) on the University of California, Irvine campus.
Who will be attending?
Our goal is to develop a platform for a diverse group of approximately 100 participants, including Ph.D. students, postdocs, faculty members, as well as scientists and engineers from DoD, NIST, and other government labs. These individuals are particularly interested in exploring a wide range of 2D materials subjects, which include but are not limited to electronics, photonics, and quantum applications. Furthermore, the workshop seeks to foster the establishment of long-term collaboration prospects among the participants.
