Beth Harnick-Shapiro is an educator and program leader whose work brings together professional communication, ethical AI, and student opportunity. At UC Irvine’s Samueli School of Engineering, she coordinates and teaches upper-division professional writing and conducts NSF-supported research on human-centered AI in engineering education with UCI’s Digital Learning Lab. She also teaches Computer Science at CSU Fullerton, coordinates the Women in Computer Science and Engineering program, and serves as a principal investigator on a California Learning Lab intersegmental initiative strengthening educational and transfer pathways across institutions.
