"Flipgrid uses video for students to create and share their work. We have used this multiple times in Chemistry. Most recently students described the 4 steps to completing a double replacement reaction. The students do not have to show their face and creativity is encouraged. For these 4 steps one student used 4 pop bottles to describe/demonstrate the 4 steps (see pic below). The teacher can moderate the video responses. This means the teacher has to approve to video before any student can see it. Then students can watch other student’s videos. Some videos were watched 30 times. They are teaching each other. The next step of Chemistry is for the students to give feedback to each other and not just watch. If you are interested in trying Flipgrid, reach out and we can set up some help remotely through Canvas." Steve Dick, UCHS
