Who should take the exemption exam?
The exemption exam can be taken by students who:
- Wish to challenge the course CMPS1014 - Introduction to Computer Studies
Where can I sit the exemption exam?
The exemption exam can be taken at the Belmopan Campus, Jaguar Building.
If I took the exam, and am not satisfied with my score, can I retake the exemption exam a second time?
If you took the exam once, you cannot take the exam a second time. Students are only allowed to take the exemption exam once for their lifetime at the University.
How much does the exemption exam cost?
The exam cost $50.00 and must be paid in full the last day of the exam registration week.
Can I register for the exam after the registration period?
Yes, students can register for the exam after the close of the registration period. A Late registration of Fee for $10.00 will be charged for all late registration. Please note that students can register up until the last Friday before the Exam date.
After taking the exemption exam how long does it take for me to receive my score?
The results will be available 48 Business hours after completing the exemption exam on the Moodle platform.
What score should I receive in order to be exempted from CMPS1014- Introduction to Computer Studies?
The passing mark for the exemption exam is 70% for both theory and practical.
