Students are invited to register for any of the following E-Learning courses during the Pre-Registration period (November 12-16, 2018) or during the Registration period (January 7-11, 2019). All students, who intend to register for an Online or Blended course, are required to attend and be successful in the E-learners’ orientation commencing on the 7th January, 2019 at 12:01 AM and ending on the 28th January, 2019 at 11:55 PM online via the Moodle Platform. How can I register for an E-Learning Course?

University students can register during the Pre- Registration (November 12-16, 2018) or Registration (January 4-11, 2019) period. If you are a non-University Student, visit the Office of Records and register for an E-Learning course as a transient student.

Is there an orientation for the E-Learning Courses?

Yes, there is an E-Learning Orientation for all Online and Blended Courses at the University of Belize.

Where should I go for the orientation?

The E-learners’ orientation is an online orientation and can be completed in the comfort of your homes at your own pace. Note that once you have registered for an online course, the E-Learning Orientation will be made available via the Moodle Platform.

Is there anything specific I should have prior to attending the E-learner's orientation session?

Students should have access to:

    1. Computer System ( Desktop or Laptop)
    2. Headset
    3. Good internet connection ( 2 mbps)
    4. UB email address
    5. Access to Moodle

Where can I register for the online learner’s orientation and is there a cost associated to it?

There is no need to register for the online learners’ orientation. Students are required to pre-register for the respective Blended or Online courses. Once pre-registered or registered, students can log into Moodle to gain access to the online session.

Note that there is no cost associated to the online learner’s orientation, it’s for FREE.

How do I know if I was successful in completing the online learners session.

You will receive a certificate upon successful completion. Also note that you will have access to the E-Learning Courses for two (2) years.

Will I be required to take the online learner’s orientation for all online courses that I am enrolled in?

No, you will only be required to successfully complete the E-Learners orientation once. Also note that this orientation is mandatory every two (2) years.
