Students are invited to register for any of the following E-Learning courses during the Registration period (August 12-16, 2019). All students, who intend to register for an Online or Blended course, are required to complete and be successful in the Moodle for Students (Level 1) and E-learning for Students (Level 2) commencing on the 12th August, 2019 at 8:00 AM online via the Moodle Platform. How can I register for an E-Learning Course?
University students can register during the Registration period. If you are a non-University Student, visit the Office of Records and register for an E-Learning course as a transient student.
Is there an orientation for the E-Learning Courses?
Yes, there is an E-Learning Orientation with two levels ( 1 and 2) for all Online and Blended Courses at the University of Belize.
Where should I go for the orientation?
The E-learners’ orientation is an online orientation and can be completed in the comfort of your homes at your own pace. Note that once you have registered for an online course, the E-Learning Orientation will be made available via the Moodle Platform as two levels ( Level 1 and 2) .
Is there anything specific I should have prior to attending the E-learner's orientation session?
Students should have access to:
- Computer System ( Desktop or Laptop)
- Good internet connection ( 2 Mbps)
- UB email address
- Access to Moodle
Where can I register for the online learner’s orientation and is there a cost associated to it?
There is no need to register for the online learners’ orientation. Students are required to register for the respective Blended or Online courses. Once registered, students can log into Moodle to gain access to the online session.
Note that there is no cost associated to the online learner’s orientation, it’s for FREE.
How do I know if I was successful in completing the online learners session.
You will receive a certificate upon successful completion. Also note that you will have access to the E-Learning Courses for two (2) years.
Will I be required to take the online learner’s orientation for all online courses that I am enrolled in?
No, you will only be required to successfully complete the E-Learners orientation once. Also note that this orientation is mandatory every two (2) years.
