Coach Italia Moore
Coach Italia has been the Head Coach of the Ursuline Lionettes for the last 4 years and is currently in her rookie season as a professional dancer on the New Orleans Pelicans’ Pelsquad. Moore is a New Orleans native and started her dance career at the Dari Pennino Dance Academy at the age of 2. In 2005, she began training at the Redondo School of Dance in Redondo Beach, CA and Fusion Studios in Torrance, Ca.
The city of New Orleans soon called her home and in 2012, she began studying Musical Theatre at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. Her training in theater opened the door to many opportunities and she has had the joy of performing in numerous productions, films, and television shows around the country
Coach Italia was a founding member of the competitive dance team at Loyola University New Orleans, where she studied Public Relations. She had the honor of being named a captain in her Freshman year and becoming a 2017 SSAC champion in the same season. During her time at Loyola, she became the assistant coach for Ursuline’s middle school dance team, the Ursulettes. In 2020, she took on the role of Head Coach for the Lionettes and was given the honor of rebuilding the program.
Coach Italia brought the Lionettes to their first ever National Dance Competition this past season and the team brought home 3rd place in three team categories, 3rd place in high school duets, and 2 nationally ranked solos at 2nd and 4th place.
