Riddell Lab
Welcome
Thank you for visiting the Riddell Lab's website!
Our research is focussed on understanding the unique biology of the placenta and the uterine microenvironment. We seek to understand how microenvironmental perturbations at the maternal/fetal interface lead to placental dysfunction. We hope to create knowledge that will lead to understanding of how the placenta develops and identify processes that are disrupted in early pregnancy that impact pregnancy outcomes.
We believe that ensuring equity, diversity, and inclusion in our lab is more than moral obligation but also necessary to enrich existing and future knowledge and to promote excellence in research and healthcare. As a lab we are committed to integrating these diverse perspectives into our current understanding and providing equitable opportunities.
