Rick has provided a variety of consulting services over the years:
Giving workshops on both "interdisciplinary research" and "team research" to diverse audiences in Canada and abroad
Providing advice to interdisciplinary research teams or organizations
Providing curricular advice in the area of general education
Performing formal program evaluation of both interdisciplinary teaching programs and interdisciplinary centres
Serving on the international advisory council of a new university in eastern Paris (U. Gustav Eiffel)
Serving on a university accreditation visiting team as lead evaluator.
It is worth noting here that Rick has keynoted at interdisciplinary conferences in diverse countries, including Lebanon, Uganda, and Mexico. He often provides informal advice to scholars and students in conjunction with these speaking engagements. And he has taught a short course on interdisciplinary research for the College of Europe.
