Defining Society and Community

Both ‘society’ and ‘community’ are vague terms (though arguably still subject to a fair degree of shared understanding.) Societies are generally thought to be larger than communities. If the two terms will be used, then searches under one should produce alerts to the other. Works and ideas should be classified under narrower terms whenever possible.
