Thanks for stopping by. I am a PhD student in Environmental and Ecological Sciences program at the University of Alberta.

I am located in Centre for Earth Observation Sciences (CEOS), in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (EAS) department, and working with Professor Arturo Sanchez-Azofeifa. My main research focus is two-fold:

1. Interpreting the link between entropy, diversity and complexity as a function of distinct ecological successional stages in tropical forests.

2. Evaluating entropy changes in different types of tropical forests worldwide.

For this, I am using waveform LiDAR acquired from Land Vegetation  and  Ice Sensor (LVIS), and Global Ecosystem Dynamics Investigator (GEDI) data in tropical forests. My research sites are located in Santa Rosa national Park (SRNP) in the province of Guanacaste, northwest Costa Rica, La Selva, Costa Rica, Barro Colorado Island, Panama, and other tropical forests' plots.
