Dr. Chengkai Fan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mining, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Laval University starting in September 2024. He worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Assistant Lecturer (sessional) in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Alberta (UofA) from December 2023 to August 2024. Chengkai received his Ph.D. in Mining Engineering from the UofA in September 2023, an MS in Geotechnical Engineering from the Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in June 2019, and a BE in Geological Engineering from the Anhui University of Science and Technology in June 2016.
