Tell us a bit about yourself and your background. How did you end up at the School of Dentistry?
Half Egyptian, half Albanian, born and raised in Egypt, 6 kids and 8 degrees, wanted to be a medical doctor, missed it for 1/8th point, never regretted it since I felled in love with dentistry and orthodontics.
Tell us about a moment in your career that you are particularly proud of.
When I discovered that Ultrasound can make cut-rabbit-teeth grow faster and longer than without ultrasound.
What got you interested in oral health care?
Want to help people that can't find hope anywhere.
What do you love about your profession the most?
Learning every day, helping people not only to have confident smiles, but also great jaw and face function.
What subject do you wish were taught in every school?
Using growth forecast in orthodontic treatment planning, patient-doctor communication.
What are the most interesting parts of your job?
Interacting with young adults and kids when they feel they need to smile confidently, and we achieve this together.
What does a typical day for you look like?
Between patient care and research, students' matters, ends by family matters and taking youngsters to sleep calmly.
