Dr. Neda A. Zadeh is a trailblazing professional who has woven together her passions for engineering, research, and dentistry to create a rich tapestry of expertise that is transforming the lives of her patients and students.
With a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Master of Engineering in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of British Columbia, Dr. Zadeh's academic foundation is rooted in the principles of innovation and discovery. During all her studies, Dr. Zadeh embraced her passion for research and explored advanced drug delivery systems and cellular interactions on microgrooved surfaces on dental implant surface design.
Dr. Zadeh's education journey continued with her inspiration to make a greater impact in healthcare and follow her lifelong dream; she transitioned from a successful career as an engineer at Lafarge Cement to pursue dentistry. Her determination and perseverance led her to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Sydney, and she has since become a respected and compassionate practitioner in general dentistry.
Recently, Dr. Zadeh joined the Mike Petryk School of Dentistry at the University of Alberta as an assistant clinical professor. She is dedicated to inspiring and mentoring the next generation of dental professionals. Her teaching approach is a perfect blend of art and science, integrating evidence-based practices, patient-centered care, and collaborative learning to foster a supportive and innovative educational environment.
Dr. Zadeh's passion for dentistry does not stop at the classroom door.
