Informational Interviews

Picture this: you see a job posting that sparks your interest, but would like some insider information about the position, organization and/or industry before you apply. What do you do? Try setting up an informational interview

An informational interview is a valuable and arguably underutilized networking strategy that provides you with an opportunity to meet with professionals and learn about their career journeys. While it may seem awkward at first, many professionals welcome the opportunity to discuss their work and talk about their careers. Informational Interviews will not only provide you with valuable networking but they will also provide you with personal perspectives that will help guide your career and job search.

Not sure how to get started? Sign up to participate in Career Exploration Interviews (CEIs) with the Career Centre where you can be matched with someone working in your field of interest. Learn more by attending the Career Exploration Interview Information Session on October 6.
