Using Resume Writing Guides 

Have you ever found yourself stuck on the drafting stages while writing a targeted resume? Do you want to learn how to elevate your professional language when describing your skills and experience? Using guides to help you with resume writing can ensure that you are writing an effective resume to increase your chances of a call for a job interview. Luckily, there are plenty of free university resources to help you improve your resume:

• Figure out if you are using the appropriate resume format according to your skills or work experience

• Try using the Career Centre’s Resume and Cover Letter Guide as a checklist to help ensure that you have successfully completed all components of a targeted resume. 

• Fill out the skills audit sheet to help you brainstorm your qualities, skills, and experiences

• Go through the skills and traits list by highlighting certain verbs and traits that apply to yourself.
