About me
I am originally from the neighborhoods of Washington, District of Columbia and Prince George's County, Maryland. I attended Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University (AAMU) and graduated in 2019 Magna Cum Laude with a B.S Mechanical Engineering. I was a full-ride scholarship recipient while at AAMU. My collegiate leadership included Dean’s Scholar, Student Ambassador for CETPS (STEM Star Scholars), AAMU National Society of Black Engineers Pre-Collegiate Initiative Chair (NSBE PCI), and Career Development Services (CDS).
During the 2018-2019 school year, I received national recognition as a Forbes 30 Under 30 Scholar, and the Black Engineer of the Year Awards (BEYA) as a BEYA Student Leader. Regionally, I was recognized as a NASA Space Grant Scholar. Currently, I am pursuing my M.S in Aerospace Engineering from University of Alabama Huntsville, a regionally recognized program in Aerospace Engineering in the Southeastern United States; In addition, I have completed some graduate Physics classes under the AAMU Physics department, a top ranked graduate producer for Black physicists in the State of Alabama. I am blessed to have been asked to apply to highly ranked PhD programs such as University of California-Irvine and University of Tennessee Space Institute. I have also visited other highly ranked engineering/mathematics departments at Princeton University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, John Hopkins University, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, and Auburn University. I have been asked also to apply to Babson College, the #1 Entrepreneurship College in the U.S, for a M.S Business Analytics with potential full-funding on a diversity fellowship.
