Molecular Ecology and Conservation Lab
I am interested in applying cutting-edge molecular genetics and genomics to answer key questions in the ecology, evolution, conservation, and management of aquatic species of both ecological and economic importance.
My team work focuses on safeguarding biodiversity by evaluating genetic variability in populations, levels of inbreeding, and taxonomic uncertainties, while also investigating the impacts of fishing pressure, habitat fragmentation, and climate change.
By combining innovative tools with an interdisciplinary approach, my group aims to generate knowledge that not only advances science but also provides practical solutions for the sustainable use and long-term conservation of marine resources.
