CVCC Counseling Schedule During COVID
Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Fri:
8:22-9:00 I will offer virtual calming exercises to all students and staff via google hangouts. Students can participate individually or as a whole class, as allowed by the instructor.
Mon: Guided Meditation
Tues: Yoga
Thurs: Energy Tapping for Relaxation
Fri: Low-key workout
9:00-11:30 Open office hours for student meetings. All student meetings should be scheduled in advance, or be called in (I want to make sure we don't have students from different programs mingling in the hallways or outside my office). I will not be meeting with more than 2 students at a time, so no groups please!
11:30-12:30 Virtual Lessons. These will be for my yearly outreach (HHB, ONET, researching colleges), as well as lessons by request. These lessons will be scheduled with teachers, so that only 1 class at a time is participating.
Wed:
8:22-11:30 Open schedule for lessons and student check ins, scheduled in advance.
11:30-12:30 Leadership (the group will be held virtually this year).
I may offer afternoon groups on a regular basis if there is a need and the time. Some topics might be gender, self confidence, a PRIDE group, college readiness, and suicide awareness. Other than PRIDE, the groups will be structured and will have limited windows of time during which someone can join the group.
