Teachers will participate in our inservice day on Friday, October 5, 2018. Paraeducators will not participate.

U-32 teachers will focus on issues of time and space in a proficiency-based learning system. The essential question for the day is, "In what way(s) might we create structures and systems that will meet the needs of ALL students in a proficiency-based system?" They will meet at U-32 beginning at 7:45 a.m. U-32 teachers, please see the email sent by Steven Dellinger-Pate on October 1 for more details.

Elementary teachers will work in grade/subject alike groups in the morning to focus on planning for the second quarter of the year and will then spend the afternoon at their respective elementary schools to engage in building-based work related to data analysis.

The abbreviated agenda for elementary teachers is:

    • 8:15-11:15 Grade/subject alike groups
    • 11:15-12:45 Travel and lunch time
    • 12:45-3:45 Building-based work

From 8:15-11:15 elementary teachers will meet in the following locations:

    • PreK-K will meet at East Montpelier Elementary School (Alicia Lyford, administrative liaison)
    • 1st-2nd grade will meet at Rumney Memorial School (Aimee Toth, administrative liaison)
    • 3rd-4th grade will meet at Berlin Elementary School (Aaron Boynton, administrative liaison)
    • 5th-6th grade will meet at Doty Memorial School (Cat Fair and Matt Young, administrative liaisons)
    • Elementary literacy specialists will meet at Berlin Elementary School (Jen Miller-Arsenault, administrative liaison)
    • Elementary art teachers will meet at Berlin Elementary School (Jen Miller-Arsenault, administrative liaison)
    • Elementary PE teachers will meet at Berlin Elementary School (Jen Miller-Arsenault, administrative liaison)
    • Elementary music teachers will meet at Berlin Elementary School (Jen Miller-Arsenault, administrative liaison)
    • Elementary librarians/tech integrationists will meet at Berlin Elementary School (Jen Miller-Arsenault, administrative liaison)

Special educators, including SLPs and OTs, should attend the meeting of the grade level team with which they work the most.
