Welcome to Rumney Kindergarten!  

We are excited to learn and grow together academically, socially and emotionally. Through hands on collaboration and cooperation children will explore the world around them and learn through personal interests for motivation. We begin the year focusing on classroom routines, Monarch Butterfly transformations and getting to know each other. We will continue through the year learning about everything from Vermont's apple and pumpkin harvest, gardening, animals in their habitat, counting and comparing, learning letter sounds and matching alphabetic letters, blending sounds into words in both reading and writing and many class building activities.
