What is the point of an argument? If you’re in one, what is the end goal?
How might you get someone to believe what you are saying? What would you do?
What if the other side has a good point? What would you do? What would you say?
What happens to your argument if you don’t know much about the subject? How do you overcome that? Is it possible to win an argument without using factual evidence?
What if you are arguing for or against something that the person you are arguing with has been passionate about for a long time... how might they respond? How would you respond if they refused to listen to you?
What if a person you are arguing with gets angry? How do you handle that?
When we argue, we have a tendency to try to humiliate, insult, and put down the other side. Does this help you win your argument? Does that help you reach your goal that you came up with in #1? What might someone do if you insult them while making your case?
If someone was trying to convince you of something and you found out what they were telling you was a lie, would you trust them any more? In the future would you believe them? Even if other parts of their argument were true but some of it was a lie, would it cause you to not believe anything they were saying? Or, would you still believe what they were saying?
