What composes a person are the things, emotions and activities around them and the people around him or her. My work expresses this theme through paintings and drawings. My practice of recording emotions, daily activities and people around me makes a recording of my life and a memory to retrace in the future.

My drawings also focus on daily activities, objects and emotions around me. I like to observe details of objects and scenes and record them without the existence of people to put the focus on the objects, activities and emotions. My recent paintings focus on people that are important to me emphasizing the characteristic that is most valuable to me. My friends are portrayed with a traditional Chinese element – like a Chinese zodiac or shēngxiào.
