About this series of Painting
It is fictional portraits of my friends. They are all in traditional Chinese clothing, and I also paired them with the animal that can represent the year they were born, and we believe those animal can bring us power and luck. The different forms of animals and the positions of the animals represents my friends' characteristics and dispositions. I added those elements because Chinese tradition is also a composition of me.

For this painting, the animal is snake. I made the snake to be embroidery on the clothing, to show she is very highly self-assured and elegant, because gold embroidery shows high status in ancient China.
