Set in Haifa in the summer of 1968, this movie tells of the special connection of Arik, a 16 year old boy and Yankale Braid, a matchmaker who is also a Holocaust survivor. As Arik works for Yankale Braid in finding customers for Braid’s matchmaking business, he is introduced to Braid’s friends, learns of the then silenced culture of Holocaust survivors in Israel, and also falls in love for the first time.
