I envisioned a stacking stool that embraces both floor-sitting and chair-sitting cultures.Each seat, woven from rattan like a gentle cushion, allows the breeze to caress your skin, offering a soothing comfort. When stacked two, three, or four high, they flexibly transform into low stools, standard stools, or high stools, adapting to various needs.Respecting the diverse lifestyles of our global era, these stools possess a flexibility that honors both floor and chair seating traditions through their stackable nature. In this age of environmental consciousness, we chose natural materials like wood and rattan. As we navigate the warming world, the airy, breathable seat cradles the body, offering a cool respite.The repetitive, layered form reminded me of the elegant tiers of a five-story pagoda or other traditional Japanese architecture. Thus, I christened it "Stories," a name that echoes both its stacking nature and the countless tales it might witness in various settings around the world.Covering the entire surface with rattan without showing the wooden frame on the face is actually quite challenging. This is a skill that can only be achieved by Japan's traditional furniture craftsmen.Additionally, from the sales of this stool, the designer's fee is allocated to activities for global environmental conservation.

床座にも椅子座にも対応できるスタッキングスツールを考えた。ひとつひとつの座は籐が編み込まれた座布団のような形状であり、座ると風が通り抜けて心地良い。２つ・３つ・４つと重ねると、ロースツール・スツール・ハイスツールとして座ることができる。地球時代の多様なライフスタイルを尊重できるよう、スタッキングで床座・椅子座の両方に寄り添う柔軟性を持ち、地球環境時代の椅子なので材料は木材や籐といった自然な素材とし、地球沸騰化時代に人肌に触れるので、空気を湛え風が抜ける座とした。同じ形が反復し積層される姿は、まるで五重塔などの和風建築のようだと思った。そこで名前に階数も意味するStoriesとつけた。表に木製フレームを見せることなく、籐で全面を覆うことは、実はかなり難しい。日本の伝統ある家具職人のなせる技である。また、この椅子の売上のうち、デザイナーのフィーについては地球環境保全の活動に充当される。
