Ending Child Hunger
– Dr. Sara Ishii, Art History
In this Multi-Media Workshop we cover how to advocate to stop child hunger, an issue that affects many families across the country, through design work that combines digital and traditional methods! I also share with you artwork examples from TWU Design Studio students and social justice-oriented artists to inspire your art.
LGBTQ+ Pride
– Hanna Selman, Visual Arts Graduate Student
In this 3D Workshop, we cover the importance of making art about advocacy, diversity, inclusivity and the self. You learn how to make a whistle that embodies traits about your own identity and also makes noise against the unfair treatment of others.
Climate Change
– Professor Sheli Petersen, Graphic Design
In this Graphic Design Workshop, we’ll sample what it’s like to work on the college level—using the Design Process with step-by-step instruction for research, concepting and technique—to create your own environmental sustainability awareness poster.
Fri Sept 24, 11 – 11:45am
Immigration – Hanieh Madanirad, Visual Arts Graduate Student
In this Illustration Workshop we cover how we, as artists, can advocate for immigrants in the U.S. for the benefit of all. You learn the process and techniques to create your own artworks on immigration.
