Hello!
I'm Khemberly Cruzat, my students call me Teacher Kim. I'm a dedicated foreign English teacher from the Philippines with a deep passion for helping young learners to build confidence and a love for learning. I hold a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English, and have been teaching English to students for over 10 years.
I’ve been teaching English for over a decade, with meaningful experiences in the Philippines, Thailand, and now Taiwan. These experiences have helped me grow not only as an educator but also as a lifelong learner, embracing different cultures and teaching styles. I began my journey in the Philippines, where I spent one year building my foundation as an English teacher. After that, I moved to Thailand, where I spent eight wonderful years teaching both young learners and junior high school students.
Now, I'm in my second year in Taiwan. I'm currently teaching at Dacun Elementary School where I handle 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade students. Each day, I strive to create a classroom environment that's filled with curiosity, creativity, and connection. Aside from regular classroom teaching, we also provide various English activities, such as English club, storytelling sessions, and word of the day. These activities gives students extra chances to practice and enjoy English.
Teaching in three different countries has opened my heart and mind to different ways of learning, communicating, and connecting. It’s a journey that has taught me just as much as I’ve taught my students—and for that, I’m truly grateful.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that learning should be an enjoyable experience that sparks curiosity and excitement. I've seen firsthand that when students are happy, engaged, and active participants in their learning, they not only absorb knowledge better but also develop the confidence to express themselves and tackle new challenges.
I place a great value on creating a supportive, student-centered classroom where every child feels valued and heard. In my classroom, each student is more than just a learner. They are individuals with unique strengths, perspective, and potential. My role is to ensure that they feel safe, respected, and encouraged to explore and take risks without fear of failure.
I believe that teaching is not just about delivering content but about inspiring and motivating students to believe in themselves. As a teacher, I see myself as both an educator and a mentor, guiding my students not to only excel academically but also grow in character and confidence. My goal is to help them discover the joy of learning and to nurture a love for lifelong education.
Ultimately, I want my students to leave my classroom not just with knowledge, but with the belief that they are capable of achieving great things.
