In 1968, Ora Bell Peck was the first woman to be received into full connection in the Memphis Conference of The United Methodist Church. In 1970, she became the first woman to be ordained an Elder, and in 1977 she led the way as she preached during the first all woman-led Sunday morning worship service in that same conference.
Rev. Ronnie Peck, retired Elder in the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Conference of the United Methodist Church, grew up knowing Ora Bell as "Mom". He will be sharing about her journey from firsthand experience in his presentation "Mom, Pastor, Influencer".
