Theater Arts Club and Stage Crew provide students the opportunity to learn more about the world of the performing arts. Students will have the chance to travel to different venues to experience live theater and get backstage tours and talks with professionals in the industry; they will work with professionals in exclusive workshops in vocals, acting, stage combat, improv, choreography and tech; students will work with professionals to learn about stage design, construction, and lighting and sound design. Each year, students can participate in a fall play, spring musical, actor's workshop and reader's theater. Other major events include an annual trip to Broadway in April, the state conference winter and a Gala for active members. Through participating in events and activities, students gain hours towards induction into our honor society, The International Thespian Society. Troupe #8745 was established in 2018 and boasts over 30 active members and 100 alumni. Each year, the club provides 3 scholarships in the amount of $1000.00 to graduating seniors through an application. Membership is open from September to October of each school year.
