ABC NorCal’s Apprenticeship Programs were developed to increase the number of highly skilled craftspeople in the construction industry. ABC NorCal offers State and Federally approved apprenticeship programs in five trades: carpentry, construction craft laborer, electrical, painting and plumbing. Apprenticeship programs combine paid on-the-job training with classroom instructions. The programs train individuals for careers that demand a wide range of skills. Apprentices gain hands-on experience by working along industry professionals. In the classroom, they learn from expert instructors who are masters of their trades. This powerful combination of learning methods yields graduates with a solid foundation of knowledge in the trade.
